85 new social rented homes for London

Residents are moving into Flint Housing’s new social rented homes atthe brand-new North Kensington Gate development in Hammersmith and Fulham.

·       Eighty-five new social rented homes at North KensingtonGate in Hammersmith and Fulham are now welcoming residents.

·       Flint Housing’s homes are part ofa wider development of 208homes from City & Docklands Limited and delivered by North Kensington Gate Limited and O’Shea.

·       Flint Housing has delivered additionalsocial rented homes beyond initial planning requirements for nomination to fourseparate housing waiting lists.

·       This achievement was madepossible through close partnership with the Greater London Authority and theLondon boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Brent, and Ealing.

·       Pinnacle Group will providehousing management services for residents on Flint Housing's behalf, whileJames Andrews Residential will oversee the block management.  

Registeredprovider of social housing, Flint Housing has welcomed residents to 85 newsocial-rented apartments in the North Kensington Gate development.

Residents are already settling into their new homes with more than 80per cent of homes occupied.

The 85 new homes at North Kensington Gate have been completed to a very highspecification, and are spacious, modern and energy efficient. The homes alsoprioritise safety and security of residents throughout the building.

Theproject was developed in close partnership with OPDC, the Greater LondonAuthority, Hammersmith and Fulham, Brent, and Ealing. The collaborativeapproach will enable long-term tenancy sustainment, while addressing crucialshortfalls in London's housing needs.

Eugene Schreider,Chief Executive Officer at Flint Housing, said: "North Kensington Gate is a landmarkdevelopment for Hammersmith and Fulham, and it's incredibly exciting to haveFlint Housing residents moving into their new homes. It has been a specialproject with several opportunities for progressive partnerships that has enabledFlint to provide newly built, secure and affordablehomes, where residents can feel settled and supported, providing a firmfoundation for their lives."

Angelique Noble,Director of Customer Experience at Flint Housing, said, "We have worked closely with our housingmanagement provider, Pinnacle, and local authority partners to ensure efficientscheme mobilisation and to support residents moving into their new homes."

Key worker, DionnePearce, was one of the first to view a flat at North Kensington Gate alongsideher three children and was able to move into her new home in time forChristmas.

Dionne Pearce said: “As we all know moving can be such astressful time, especially with little ones and with it being so close toChristmas. A huge thank you to Ella and the NKG team for making the transitionso smooth and easy.  Thank you so muchfor making the move to my new home an enjoyable experience.”

Flint Housingintends to deliver over 1,000 new affordable homes over the next three yearsand is in active discussions to bring forward important additional deliveryacross London.
